Lightwelder is a photographer based in Washington, DC. The landscape work comes from travelling - long walks through Iceland, Ireland, and Scotland, with occasional time closer to home in the mid-Atlantic mountains. The images are made on hikes to remote places, as a way of pausing long enough to bring home a little of their fierce awesomeness.

The same patient eye goes into the wedding and portrait work. The aim across all of it is a frame that will still feel alive a decade from now.
